Barndominium Services in Arizona: Kits, Plans, Builds

Nine ways to get a barndominium out of your head and onto your Arizona land. The real choice is not which building type, it is how much of the job you want us to take and how much you want to carry yourself. Start there and the rest follows.

How much do you want to take on?

Almost every barndominium conversation starts in the wrong place, with square footage. This is the question that actually sorts the options, and it is worth answering honestly before anyone draws anything.

We draw it

Plans and permit set

We research the parcel and draw the plans and permit set to the design figures your city or county publishes, with a foundation designed from the soil report. Take the set to your own crew, or have us build from it.

We supply it

Kit or shell

A red-iron shell and its drawings, sized to your jurisdiction and delivered to your land. Our crews can erect it on your slab, or you can put it up yourself with our erection drawings.

We build it

Turnkey

Raw land to keys on one contract: site preparation, foundation, the steel shell, the systems and the finish-out, with permits and inspections handled along the way.

A red-primed steel frame partly erected at one end of a concrete slab in the desert, with anchor bolts standing in the slab.
Common to all nine

Everything we draw answers to the place you are actually building in

Arizona's building sites run from the low desert around Phoenix, Tucson and Yuma to the high country around Flagstaff, Prescott and the White Mountains, and a design figure that suits one is wrong for the other. The City of Phoenix lists no ground snow load and a frost depth of zero under its 2024 residential code; the City of Flagstaff lists 60 psf of ground snow and a 30-inch frost depth. Both rate termite risk moderate to heavy, which is why we build in steel. A set drawn to someone else's numbers is the wrong set for your parcel.

Already know which route suits you? Start there and we will tell you what your parcel needs before we build.

Not sure which one you need?

Most people are not, and that is fine. Tell us about the land and roughly what you want on it, and we will tell you which of these actually applies. That conversation costs nothing.
